The metal wire stems to sprays of flower decorations or sprays of wires of novelty displays should never be pushed directly down in to your cake as this is bad practice contrary to the Food and Hygiene Acts 

 

To comply and do the right thing by your beautiful decorative work, push one of these food friendly plastic flower picks down into your iced cake, so that the top of the pick is level with the icing surface. Then push the wire stems of spray decorations down into the pick. This will allow the stem of your flower spray and  bouquets or spray of novelty topped wires to be held firmly in your cake, perform good decoration practice and without causing potential harm to your customers.

 

The use of a pick will permit the easy removal of your display from your cake without damage to your beautiful crafted work.

 

These reusable picks measure 75mm [3”] tall and the opening at the top is 20mm [ ¾ ”] diameter.
